Raffi Tomassian, AIA, practices and teaches architecture in Cincinnati, Ohio. He received his Professional Architectural Diploma from UACEG in Sofia, Bulgaria, and a Master’s Degree from the University of Cincinnati. He has designed and worked on stadia, universities, museums, multi- and single-family residences, mixed used developments, office buildings, master planning, hospital clinical facilities, recreation centers, retail and exhibits. His work has been recognized with several design awards and published in the USA, Italy and Bulgaria. He has lectured and led upper level (digital) design studio and parametric design and fabrication seminars at Miami University of Ohio and abroad for over ten years. His design studios exhibited work in Florence, Italy and collaborated with industry partners in Cambridge, Maryland. Raffi believes in the ability of architecture to influence society; in educating clients and motivating contractors; in partnerships. He is passionate about architecture, large scale sculpture and the arts.
